Spotlight Maria!

One of our volunteers has been putting in such great effort at tutoring with the kids that we decided to spotlight her and show her our appreciation. We want to recognize Maria for being a volunteer for South Franklin Community Center since it first started in January of 2009. The kids have been able to focus on their studies and have fun with her. We want to thank and acknowledge her for all her generosity to the community.

Soccer-ific

This seasons turn out for the soccer league has been great! Thanks to all our wonderful sponsors and volunteers. There are 140 kids among our 12 teams, boys and girls alike. Games are held every Saturday morning at the South Franklin field. Last weekend was our most intense game yet as two teams played it out for a tie game. Come out and watch all the excitement! Just a reminder there will be no games held on October 2.

Day of Caring - Thank You VitalSmarts!

This year's United Way of Utah County's Day of Caring brought 15 amazing volunteers from VitalSmarts to help at the South Franklin Community Center. The volunteers worked for three hours to put up fliers, paint the inside of the community center and paint the soccer field. Thank you VitalSmarts for all your help and hard work! Your combined 45 hours of service have helped make the community center look great! Here are some pictures:
